The soundbar features eleven high-performance drivers, including two upward-firing drivers for 3D sound with Dolby Atmos. It includes a dedicated center channel and can be fine-tuned using Trueplay room-tuning technology via the Sonos app (iOS device required).
It connects to a TV via HDMI eARC/ARC, with an included optical adapter for older TVs that only have an optical output. It also has built-in Wi-Fi and supports Apple AirPlay 2 for streaming music.
Control is available through the Sonos app, an existing TV remote, or voice commands with built-in Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
The Arc Gen 1 has an elongated, sleek design and is available in black or white matte finishes. It can be placed on furniture or wall-mounted with optional hardware.
The system is designed to work with other Sonos products, allowing users to wirelessly add a Sonos Sub (Gen 1, 2, 3, or 4) and a pair of rear speakers (like the Era 300s) for a full 5.1 surround sound or higher system.
